    Network Security

Network Security Solutions Start with Complete Visibility

Firewalls, IDS/IPS platforms, NDR tools, SIEMs, DLP systems, and forensic capture appliances can only protect what they can see.  If the traffic feed is incomplete, oversubscribed, encrypted, duplicated, or routed to the wrong tool, the security stack starts every investigation with blind spots.
Niagara Networks helps security and network teams build the visibility layer behind modern network security solutions. Our hardware and software portfolio gives your tools reliable packet access, high-performance traffic conditioning, inline failover protection, SSL/TLS decryption, and centralized control across physical, virtual, and hybrid environments.
The result is simple: the right traffic reaches the right security tool, in the right format, without creating new points of failure.

Niagara Networks turns network visibility from a collection of monitoring feeds into a managed traffic intelligence layer, capturing the right traffic, optimizing it for each tool, and protecting mission-critical networks from blind spots and downtime.

    Collect the Right Traffic

Capture complete packet data from physical, virtual, cloud, and hybrid environments using TAPs, virtual TAPs, and bypass access points.

    Optimize It Intelligently

Use packet brokers and network intelligence to filter, deduplicate, slice, decrypt, replicate, and load-balance traffic before it reaches your tools.

    Deliver It with Confidence

Feed SOC, NOC, monitoring, and security platforms with reliable, policy-driven traffic while protecting uptime across mission-critical networks.

Why Network Security Tools Miss Traffic

Most security gaps are not caused by a single failed tool. They are caused by an architecture that assumes traffic access is already solved. A switch SPAN port is configured, a security tool is connected, and the organization assumes the tool is receiving the full packet stream.
In production networks, that assumption breaks down quickly. SPAN ports can drop copied traffic under load. Inline appliances can fail closed and take down a link, or fail open and leave traffic uninspected. Encrypted sessions can bypass tools that do not have enough compute to decrypt at line rate. Duplicate and irrelevant packets can overwhelm tools that are licensed or sized by traffic volume.

    Without a Visibility Layer

A visibility-first security architecture treats traffic delivery as a core part of the security design, not a cabling detail. Before a tool can detect, block, log, or investigate anything, it needs complete, reliable, and usable traffic.

    A Visibility-First Network Security Architecture

Niagara Networks’ approach organizes the security visibility layer into five practical functions. Each function solves a different failure point in the security stack.

Visibility What it does Niagara Networks Role
Access Copies traffic from critical links without relying on switch resources.

Network TAPs for reliable traffic access across copper, fiber, optical, passive, active, and bypass TAP architectures.     Explore Network TAPs

Traffic Intelligence Optimizes, enriches, and routes packet traffic to the right SOC tools.

Packet Brokers and ePacketron Network Intelligence for aggregation, filtering, deduplication, load balancing, tunnel handling, application filtering, metadata generation, packet/header slicing, and regex-based policies.  Explore Packet Brokers / Explore ePacketron / Explore Network Intelligence

Inline Resiliency Keeps inline tools from becoming failure points. Bypass switches and hybrid TAP architectures with heartbeat monitoring, failover, active TAP, and symmetric traffic steering. Explore Bypass Solutions
Encrypted Visibility Restores SSL/TLS inspection visibility where policy allows. ePacketron enables high-performance SSL/TLS decryption workflows for approved security and monitoring use cases.  Explore SSL/TLS Decryption / Explore ePacketron

What Niagara Networks Adds to Your Existing Security Stack

Niagara Networks does not replace your firewall, SIEM, NDR, IDS, IPS, WAF, or forensic capture platform. Niagara Networks makes those tools more effective by solving the traffic access and delivery problems around them.

    Reduce Blind Spots

Capture packet traffic directly from critical links with Network TAPs, reducing dependency on SPAN or port mirroring for production security visibility.

    Optimize Tool Feeds

Deliver only the traffic each security tool needs using filtering, deduplication, replication, packet slicing, and load balancing from the packet broker layer.

    Protect Inline Tools

Keep inline firewalls, IPS, WAF, and other security tools from becoming outage points with bypass switches and failover architectures.

    Decrypt Once, Distribute Many

Decrypt approved SSL/TLS traffic once and distribute it to multiple tools, reducing redundant decryption workloads across the security stack.

    Scale for High-Speed Networks

Support high-speed and high-density environments with carrier-grade visibility infrastructure built for enterprise, service provider, government, and regulated networks.

Extend Visibility to Cloud & Virtual

Expand visibility from physical networks into virtual and hybrid cloud environments with virtual TAPs, virtual packet brokers, and cloud visibility options.
